Following previous shape explorations, the unit will continue scrutinizing initial artefacts design. As these formal speculations will need to be grounded, some readings on form and typology will be reviewed in a seminar/lecture to understand the concept of artefact and the relationship between architectural form and the city. Once these theories are covered, the unit will analyse the features and historical evolution of Barcelona block where artefacts will be inserted. For that, a seminar will be organise to reflect on some readings and volumetric analysis on a generic Barcelona block will be done to understand this typology.
