BARCELONA URBAN GRID
Before deepening into material aspects of the block the unit should be familiarize with the different formal aspects of Barcelona City. In groups, the unit will create an archive of drawings in different scales (Large, Medium and Small) with information about its urban grain, voids, density, and specially, the urban grid. A special attention will be given to urban voids and gaps on the grid. Readings on Barcelona history and an understanding of its grid and social structure will be also conducted to learn about its evolution and urban fabric configuration.
