Rendering Workshop

For the next two weeks there will be a rendering workshop conducted by Matej Hosek. You will be using Vray, Rhino and Photoshop.

The induction sessions will be:
Saturday and Sunday 2nd and 3rd of May starting at 1.30pm (UK time)
Saturday and Sunday 9th and 10th of May starting at 1.30pm (UK time)

Please connect to 39FFF computers from your laptop and work from there for the induction. We recommend to render in AA computers, so book some hours, like 12h minimum, for doing your renders.

Mid-Term Jury

Mid Term Jury will be on Friday 15th of February in 38 GFF from 10 to 1 and from 2 to 6pm. In this Jury you need to show ALL work since the beginning of the year. You should have the following information ready: Argument, research, site, programme/activities layout (a list of building content) and users of your building defined. Our guest critics will be: Sylvie Taher (AAInter11), Pierandrea Angius (AA DRL), Xristina Argyros (AAInter15), Catalina Mejía (University of Brighton), Arturo Revilla (Heatherwick, AA PhD) Costandis Kizis (AA HT & AA First Year) and Angel Lara-Moreira (AATS DPL).

Please prepare your portfolio pages printed, as this will be a Jury table review. Content of the Jury will be the work from the beginning of the year till now. In addition to what you did last term, and its corrections, will be : the thesis argument, research to support it, field-work in Havana unit trip, site definition and explanation, building on site (3D, plan, section/s, axonometric and model), programme and users defined.

Shape First Phase Pin-up

This Friday 5th of October we will have a pin-up of first schematic models at unit space starting at 10.30 am till 6pm. Bring all your models, sketches and drawings. If you have some material tests for next steps, please bring them as well. Please place your work in the central big table.
