After a critical analysis of first models in the last Pin-up finding block intrinsic principles, minimum two models should be constructed individually for this phase Jury: a 1/250 scale model showing the overall block shape (40x40cm) and a 1/100 model showing one or two fragments of it in more detail.
In this second exploration, the experimentation will be focused on material aspects of the proposal. There are two main investigation to be done in this exercise. First research will be focus on understanding the expression of the selected material natural state, its structural logic and organic morphology at real scale, being these possible materials wood, brick, concrete or stone among others. Second research will be on local sustainable material and constructions possibilities.
Both investigations will help you to define your main material to start experimenting with different material behaviours and effects in terms of texture, colour and light. You should feel comfortable with these materials after these tests learning their rules and modelling criteria out of their manipulation. Afterwards, final models can be constructed.
